Update of general terms and conditions

Following significant changes in consumer law, it is necessary to update the general terms and conditions, complaint procedures, terms of use, or other internal documents.

AML Act

AML is an abbreviation for the English term anti-money laundering. In practice, AML is most commonly understood as a set of rules or measures aimed at preventing money laundering.

Changes in consumer law terminology

Changes in consumer law also include the harmonization of terminology and the legal definitions of new terms, such as online marketplace, online marketplace operator, and others.

Consumer protection against false discounts

One of the changes introduced by the new legislation is to increase consumer protection against false discounts and misleading or manipulating the amount of the discount.

Cash Law – Changes in Legal Regulations

As of 1st of July, 2023, an amendment to the Constitution of the Slovak Republic entered into force, incorporating Article 39a into the Constitution of the Slovak Republic, which regulates the right to cash.

Time limit for court preceeding costs

The deadline for issuing a resolution on the reimbursement of costs was absent in the legal framework since the recodification of civil procedure. The amendment to the Civil Procedure Code established a deadline of 60 days from the date of the final decision that concludes the proceedings.
