A foreigner can, in most cases, buy an apartment, house, or plot of land in Slovakia without restrictions. The exception is agricultural land and forest land, which are subject to a special legal regime and the principle of reciprocity.
The liability of the state for damage caused by a decision that was revoked before it became final is also addressed by a decision of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic published in the Collection of Opinions of the Supreme Court and Decisions of the Courts of the Slovak Republic.
